Tibialis Posterior Tendinitis

Tibialis Posterior Tendonitis (TPT) is a common problem associated with flat foot. TPT can cause pain that radiates on the inside ankle bone under the arch of the foot.

The Posterior Tibial Tendon is important in supporting the arch of your foot during weight bearing activity. TPT is thought to be caused by repetitive stress and small injuries to the tendon as a result of a sudden increase in activity.
